Client #4
I completed the 10-day Clear the Toxins program a couple of weeks ago. The first few days were definitely the most challenging, even grueling, for me. The caffeine withdrawal headache coupled with trying to adjust to the shakes really tested me for some reason. Truthfully, I never adjusted to the shakes, I just did not like them or enjoy them. I had read other testimonies that the shakes were yummy and people really enjoyed them. That was not my experience at all. But, I did learn to tolerate them. I think that what helped me tolerate the shakes was that I really felt great after the first few days. So I guess feeling good was my motivation to keep going and finish the program. I had also read that people did not feel hungry on the program. Again, this was not my experience. Being honest, I’d have to say that I was very hungry, particularly in the afternoon. As a result, the program felt a little more like a diet to me that it probably should have. In the end, I was very happy I completed the program (with no cheating) and I really did feel good, I thought my skin looked better, and I dropped a few pounds. Most importantly, I felt that it was an effective and healthy way to get back on track for healthy eating and living, sort of a way to dial back my odometer and start fresh.

March 3 update
Here are a few comments from some clients and my update.
Client 1 was not able to stay away from sugar one XXXXing day of her life until she went on the detox. There is a huge improvement in her sugar cravings as she is in her 60s. She has decided to go on another 10 day detox to continue ending her sugar cravings.
Client 2 is sleeping better and her boyfriend told her that her skin looks better. She also dropped some weight but never stepped on a scale.
Client 3 felt better in the mornings. He is on Lipitor and heading towards diabetes. His cholesterol went from 159-125 , Triglycerides from 83 to 59, LDL dropped from 93 to 67. He was on the detox for 10 days and then waited another 10 days before this blood test. He also had a slight drop in his hemoglobin Alc numbers from 6.3 to 6.1.
Client 4 had a terrible time with the shakes, but she made it through! I am waiting to hear her story.
If you are interested in more information or want to try this out, click on link at the end of this entry. I would love to know what you think.
As a reminder, my total cholesterol level went from 235 to 190 in 4 weeks. I did continue to eat healthier, but that was because my cravings TOTALLY changed. I am no longer a cheese or sugar addict. I have dropped 8 pounds now without feeling like it is work. I learned to love the shakes and now drink one most morning.

Updates
My mom, husband, and girlfriend are now on the program. Andy is tolerating the shakes. My mom likes them a bit more than that. I am waiting to hear from my friend.
Mom started Sunday and this morning she was 3 1/2 pounds lighter and feeling so much happier. She says she hasn't been hungry.
I am eagerly awaiting the results of my blood work. I will share that as soon as I get it.
I also continue to feel better.
I just got my numbers. My total went from 235 to 180 is just 4 weeks!!!!!! My LDL dropped from 160 to 112 and that was the number she was concerned with. WOW is all I have to say.

Still Feeling It
I am so excited that I am still waking up with energy and feeling happier in my day. I am also shocked that I passed up jelly beans and cake because I just didn't want them. I wanted an apple instead which has never been the way I worked before. If I took an apple, it felt like work. I am still eating less and wanting fruits and veggies over candy and chips. I barely recognize me, but I am liking the results. This is the first time in over 30 years that I did some kind of program and didn't gain the weight back the minute it was over.
Next, I will get a new blood panel and see what this lifestyle change has accomplished there.

Welcome
A few months ago I went to see a heart specialist just to make sure I was in good shape. At 46, I need to take my health very seriously because I have a 6 year old. I was please to learn that my exercise level was good as well and the numbers for my good cholesterol and triglycerides, but that my LDL level was too high.
My doctor at Northwester suggested I try a program she and another doctor friend had done. In her experience, you drop a few pounds easily and this program can have a profound effect on your cholesterol.
After eating myself sick at my nephews Bar Mitzvah, I was ready to go.
The shake takes a bit of getting used to. It does not taste bad, but is a bit gritty and has a strong berry flavor. My favorite shake it with coconut milk and frozen pineapple. You can do that once a day.
I was shocked at how easy this was for me to stick to. That may have been connected more to my motivation then the program. I loaded up on veggies and fruit and got them ready to grab at a moments notice. I also started with the mushroom and onion quinoa recipe with white truffle oil. I made a double batch of it so it was right there.
I always say that I am girl who started dieting in 8th grade and am 30 pounds heavier so obviously, I am not good at this. But this program was very different for me. As long as I was prepared with my food no matter where I was, I didn't feel hungry and the concept really motivated me. I even stuck to the program going out to dinner with my family.
Another big difference is that I am not in a hurry to run and eat everything I missed. I didn't miss anything except pizza once or twice.(Cravings wise) I didn't even want my chocolate square each day. Normally, I would have doubled or tripled my daily treat.
I am so happy with the program that I am now rep-ing the line. If you want to check it out for yourself, go to http://www.clearthetoxins.com/cart/?affiliateid=116 and let me know what you think.
I will be updating this as I now eat off the program. I also plan on doing it again with my husband. My mom and at least one girlfriend have already ordered it as well so I hope to keep you updated. Good Luck!
